MYA Widening Embrace film released by the Universal House of Justice
'The Making of A Widening Embrace' is a film released consecutively after the innovative documentary 'A Widening Embrace' which was produced to highlight the community building efforts in the eyes of local populations. Both films were commissioned and released by the Universal House of Justice. 'The Making of A Widening Embrace' comprises the accounts of the media team members who were primarily composed of young people who were engaged in the work themselves. The 22-minute film shows how the filmmaking process itself developed untapped capacities of those involved, eventually enabling these young people―most of whom had never operated a video camera, let alone made a film―to effectively document the learning taking place in their localities.
